Privacy, refunds and support.
Short, because there is not much to say. This is a one-person business that sells a PDF and sends some emails.
Privacy
What this site collects. Nothing on its own. The pages are static files served by Cloudflare, which keeps the usual short-lived server logs needed to run the site. It also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
If you sign up for the free guides or the mailing list, your email address goes to the mailing list service, Sender.net, which sends the guides and any later emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. Your address is not sold, rented or shared with anyone else.
If you buy a guide, the checkout runs on Payhip. Payhip and its payment processor handle your card details. This site never sees them. Payhip shares your email address and what you bought so the file can be delivered and so I can help if something goes wrong. If you tick the mailing-list box at checkout, your email address is also added to the mailing list on Sender.net. Leave it unticked and buying does not put you on the list.
Questions or removal. Email rob@sheffermusic.com and I will delete what I hold about you, apart from the purchase records Payhip has to keep for tax and accounting.
Refunds
Because of the way products are given to you, all digital sales are final. Pre-orders can be refunded up to 7 days after purchase. Once a pre-order period is done and the product is released, no refunds are possible.
To ask for a pre-order refund, email rob@sheffermusic.com from the address you bought with. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Payhip. They usually appear within a few business days, depending on your bank. If a file is broken or wrong, email me either way and I will fix it.
Support
If a download link does not work, a file will not open, or an email never arrived, write to rob@sheffermusic.com. Include the email address you used and, for purchases, the Payhip receipt. I answer myself, usually within 24 hours.
The free guides are free. If one did not arrive, check your spam folder first, then email me and I will send it directly.
Using the guides
Each guide is for your own practice. You can print it and keep copies on your own devices. Please do not share the files, post them, or sell them. If you teach and want to use the material with your students, email me and we will sort something out.
